How FaceGym helps to sculpt your way to youth!
“Consistency is Key…”, says FaceGym Founder and Director, Inge Theron. Like most things in life, that is the case. FaceGym staples itself as the UK’s only gym studio for your face, incorporating warm-ups and cardio style techniques combining kneading movements with innovative tools. Similar to a gym membership, you know that if you commit to a class 3 or 4 times a week you will be sure to look like Bella Hadid, a dream for us all. But who says we can’t gym like a pro at home!
We have all been glued to our screens during this auspicious time, and the best thing discovered has been FaceGym’s non-invasive Skin Care movement that has allowed us to appear youthful and radiant on our never-ending zoom calls! I know you are wondering how, here are a few high-energy workout tips we can share with you and all you need are your fingertips:
1. Cleanse! Cleanse! Cleanse!
(And we are not talking about your soul) You know how you’re supposed to use just one scoop of laundry detergent per load, the key is to not overdo it. The point of a cleanse is to unclog your pores and “clean the canvas”.
On clean hands, apply your FaceGym Electro-lite cleanser on the palm and work it in with a little warm water. Using a circular motion from the forehead, around the eyes, down the cheek, and finishing at your chin.
Work your way down your face. (Not like a stripper pole, we said cleanse remember this is not a Lil Nas X show.) We all have a lot of tension held within our jaws, get into knuckled hands and circulate your cheeks and forehead to warm up those facial muscles.
2. Lymphatic Drainage
Here we want to eliminate toxins around your neck and chest area. We all eat a little too much red wine or eat one too many packets of crisps. (This can result in crinkling necks, we want to avoid looking like a chicken) and boosting your skin metabolism, yes that’s right.
Using your FaceGym ball to assist, circulating around your collarbone and neck area, paired with your fingers, gently form the letter J near your lower ear. Do this motion 3 times.
3. Take Your Face To The Gym!
Just as you would stretch, flex and tone your muscles at the gym the same can be done during your daily morning routine. Applying this same ethos to your skincare regime is a sure way to achieving long-lasting results the clean way.
You can double your relaxation when you double your sculpt. Make an L shape with both your hands, this is referred to by FaceGym fitness trainers as L-shaped drains, this entails a little lifting and a little refocus on lymphatic drainage.
Coning the sides of your mouth and nose with your thumb held at the back of your jaw you gently pull your cheeks up and feathering your finger down towards your neck.
4. Pressure Point Massage
Pressure point, massage is ideal for anyone who suffers from tension headaches or sinus problems. The results of a good application are a reduction in puffiness and help prevent the formation of wrinkles that are generated by increasing your circulation, allowing your skin to heal and repair itself quicker from damage and traumas you put it through on a daily basis
5. Consitency Is Key
Remember when we mentioned consistency being key? Sculpting results don’t last forever, but you can retain them through expert tools as well as jaw sculpting along with pinching. To sculpt your jaw, you can use your pointer and middle fingers on either side of your jaw bone and move with gentle pressure with an upward motion from your chin to behind your ear (there are plenty of resources online if you like a visual).
The Take Home: Face Yoga by FaceGym
Remember that there really is no right or wrong, find what’s comfortable for you and give some good pressure.
The pinching method is a great routine to boost your circulation, especially around your lips and cheeks area, giving you the ultimate sculpt and glow.
It’s important we are realistic with our expectations, we won’t be able to sculpt our face into a Hadid sister but you can make improvements with regular workouts which are now done online or in-studio.
Loving the skin you’re in is the greatest result of all.
